What size are the prints?

We work with each artist to curate a collection of six images. Each image in a collection is offered at one specific size, determined by the artist. Each collection contains an image printed on 5x7”, 8x10”, 11x14”, 16x20”, 20x24”, and 30x40” paper. Each print size is listed in the product description.

What size is the image on the paper? Is there a border?

The actual printed area varies for each image depending on aspect ratio. Images are printed full frame with .5” margins on the long side of the 5x7, 8x10, and 11x14 sizes. Images are printed full frame with .75” margins on the long side of the 16x20 and 20x24 sizes. Images are printed full frame with 1” margins on the long side of the 30x40 size.

What paper are the prints made on?

All prints are made on Illford Multigrade Fiber papers, generally either warmtone or classic. The specific paper type is contained in the product description.

Are the prints archival? Are they selenium toned?

Yes. All prints are double fixed, perma-washed, selenium toned and archival washed.

Are the prints editioned or signed by the artist?

No. In line with photography’s democratic character, editions are open and unsigned. More about why here.

Are the prints framed?

All Charcoal Editions prints come with a choice of three framing options: print only, handcrafted black frame, handcrafted white frame.

These contemporary custom frames are hand-crafted by expert framers.

All print only sales will be mailed unframed and untrimmed. We recommend bringing the print to your local framing shop to be mounted and framed professionally.

30x40 print only sales will be mounted to dibond + 4ply and ready to frame.

When will my print ship?

All prints are handmade by master printers at Black and White on White and ready to ship within 7-10 days from submission of order, to allow adequate time for our printers to ensure that the product is perfect. However, there have been supply chain and shipping delays in 2022; we will let you know if there is any delay at the time of order. Upon shipment, you will receive your tracking number.

How do you ship the print?

All prints are shipped in reinforced box with protective structures and shipped via FedEx Ground. You will receive an order confirmation and tracking number once your order is processed.

Can you rush my order?

Please email us upon checkout to see if this is possible. If it can be accommodated, there will be a a rush fee and an increase in shipping cost.

What is your refund policy?

All sales are final. If an order arrives damaged, please see our refund and damages policy.
