Why Silver Gelatin?

At photography’s core is that syntactical fact that it produces works with light, not ink. The bulk of printed objects we see today with labels of inkjet, giclee, archival pigment on Hannemuhle or otherwise are modulated ink sprayed onto the surface of fine papers. However, silver gelatin prints are light itself, captured within the fabric of photographic paper.

Open-Edition

In line with photography’s democratic character, we favor open-ended editions because they are open and accessible to collectors at all levels. For much of the twentieth century, photographers did not issue limited-edition prints. Editioning only became more prominent when galleries and collectors desired a finite market to increase the value of their collections.

Curated Collections

We work with each photographer and release a collection of six images. Each image is offered in the specific size the artist chooses. Each series contains one small, two medium, two large, and one oversized print.
